Here at the Association for the Protection of Rural Scotland, we’ve been campaigning for a deposit return system since 2015. We were delighted when the First Minister announced in 2017 that we’ll get one in Scotland. However, a year and half later we’re still waiting to hear details of that system, and for every day that passes more than 100,000 bottles and cans are littered in Scotland alone!
