We were invited to visit Mossneuk Primary School by Mrs Kelly, whose Primary 6 class are learning about ways to tackle plastic pollution and the role of the Scottish Government. Together with our partners from the Marine Conservation Society and Excel Vending, we showed the pupils how citizen science can lead to policy change, and positive action from business.

The class had a chance to learn and ask questions about Scotland’s marine wildlife, our upcoming deposit return system, and even try out a reverse vending machine in their very own school! The excitement for soon being able to get money back for returning bottles and cans was tangible, as well as the drive to keep finding ways to protect our natural environment.
